Serie R

Renowned for its beefy ring gauges and full-flavored taste, La Gloria Cubana Serie R is one of the El Credito Cigar Factory’s hottest-selling offerings. Serie R boasts an amazing spiciness and powerful, refined flavor which comes from a proprietary blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos. When balanced with a Nicaraguan binder and a wonderfully aged Ecuadoran wrapper (Connecticut Broadleaf wraps the Maduro cigars), La Gloria Cubana Serie R’s exquisite taste captures a place in the smoking in the repertoires of today’s tenured smokers who demand the ultimate in flavor.

The History

In 1999, the team at La Gloria Cubana decided they wanted to bring something special to their many La Gloria Cubana customers. They subsequently introduced the full-bodied, fuller ring gauge, Serie R Nos. 4, 5, 6 and 7 which have been joined by other perennially-popular offerings.

The Cigar

Packed in dark mahogany, cabinet-style boxes replete with gold inlay logos and lettering, Serie R cigars deliver their extra-bold bouquet as soon as the lid is lifted. Their full-bodied flavor comes from a special blend of long filler Dominican and Nicaraguan leaf, superb Nicaraguan binder and a wonderfully aged and extra-flavorful Ecuadoran wrapper. The result is a rich, full-flavored smoke unmatched by any other cigar.

The Experience

Designed for seasoned cigar lovers looking for the ultimate in bold flavor. Serie R cigars come in seven sizes, each one guaranteed to please even the most discerning seeker of rich, robust cigars.

This is an outstanding cigar. It lives up to the description.

Very rich and full flavored. At the same time, an extremely smooth cigar.

It’s made for a seasoned cigar smoker, but I often recommend it to people looking to step up to a more robust full-flavored cigar because it’s so smooth.

Dear Sirs, I am a very good customer. I smoke 4 boxes per mo. of your series N (Glorioso). This mo. I ordered from JR and was pleased to get to try the Series R.
Because I’m a good customer I feel it is okay to share my experience. I was so supprised to find that the Series R cigars smoked very hot, were all runners and tasted bitter when compared to the N series. I had assumed that the R series would be an even better cigar due to the cost. Anyway, I’m not unhappy with your cigars and love the N series. I just thought you might like to know. Regards, Bruce

This is an incredible cigar. I love the maduro. Most cigars with flavor are also bitter, but this is a smooth, relaxing smoke. They hit a home run with this one!

This is my Go To Cigar. It’s a great Value and Splendid smoke. I’m always comfortable recommending or offering a Series R.

First puff was very smooth, rich smoke, with a slight pepper hint. The draw was nice and easy with plenty of smoke for your taste buds. The cigar burned even with a nice grey ash that was strong and lasted for about an inch before gravity took over. After three or four puffs, you could feel this was a full body cigar. The smoke started out peppery then spicy through the halfway point. After the halfway point, the full body smoke packed more of a spicy kick, with a woodsy tone now in the mix. This was not a very complex cigar in my view but a wonderful mix of the few flavors it had, that were easily discernible and enjoyable. The cigar finished nicely, all the way past the shoulder area with no sponginess.

One word…..Awesome! Great flavor, full bodied, spicy but not overbearing. This cigar along with the EL Rico is in my opinion the best cigars available bar none.

This is a great cigar for the money!
